About

Handmade games with sharp mechanics, oddball worlds, and a bit of bite

Fifth Dimension Games is a one-person independent studio created by Connor Smith.

The studio makes handmade games with sharp mechanics, oddball worlds, and a bit of bite. Some projects may be brutal arcade gauntlets, some may be ridiculous cartoon violence, and some may turn into something stranger entirely. The through-line is simple: build memorable experiences from scratch, don't do things by halves, and give players a universe worth poking at.

Connor Smith

Connor Smith is the founder of Fifth Dimension Games, a solo developer with a background in software engineering and systems architecture/design. This partly explains the urge to build everything from scratch and then make it more complicated than it probably needed to be.

Connor is obsessive about making things by hand, from code and systems to worlds, mechanics, and the weird little details that make a game feel alive. He lives with his fiancee and their black labrador, Max, who provides moral support, quality assurance, and absolutely no useful bug reports.
